If you have a 2017 or newer coach and have MCD power window shades you most likely have the small black remote control (model # 50.226). I recently read a post where someone dropped their remote on the tile floor and it stopped working. I sure would hate to have that happen early in the morning, with all the night shades down, as the only one you can work without the remote is the windshield.

Sooo, always needing a spare for most everything on the coach, I purchased another from MCD (about $200). It’s kind of nice having and extra around anyway and it’s very easy to program using the original remote since it’s still working.

Something else I don’t have to worry about……….Hope my DEF head holds up?

$200 for a remote control?! Holy
moly!

Hmmmm. We don’t have a remote for the window shades in our 2018 Mountain Aire. Did we get shorted? Since we’ve never had one, it never occurred to us that there even was such a thing. Live and learn.

How do you operate them? Are they power operated?

Dutchstars have a remote. Highline uses the KIB wall panels.

I've been outdone! No one can criticize me now!

I wonder why the remote is not more widely used? It’s sure handy being able to work all the shades individually while sitting or standing in one place. Or maybe the KIB system allows that as well.

I prefer the remote as of now.
