What are the best starting replacement batteries for Phaeton 380 hp. I believe I need group 31 with 1150 cca.

Welcome @Max408. What batteries are currently in it? I just had mine changed at the 5 year mark, needed or not. I think Freightliner Custom Chassis put the same ones in as was in it previously.

2X on going with Freightliner. Their batteries are reported to be at a reasonable price too.

You don't need 1150 CCA. I just bought two new starting batteries at Freightliner last week. These are 925CCA and work perfect to start my 500HP ISM, and generator. They were $83/ea. Extra $30 or so if you don't have a core.

Mine are 2015 vintage so I guess its time. I’ll add it to the list. Neal, what was the labor for the battery change and cost per battery at FL?

I could easily do it myself (I had to take that whole battery box mount contraption out to change my diff pressure sensor on my DPF) but sometimes it’s really worth it to have them do these jobs.

My batteries are original going on 7-8 years old. Going to Gaffney FLiner and will ask for new ones.

Was this at a Velocity Truck shop?

I have sold quiet a few different brands of group 31 batteries.
By far, the NAPA 7236 (screw post) or 7237 ( Regular Post) have had fewer warranty claims
than any other brand.
AND one of the few batteries made in the USA.

Napa 7236 are soo expensive by me, like 180 each and that's after core return. They must fill them with Diesel

Very affordable, was a no brainer. Don't remember the exact cost, was not that much.
