The steps on my 06 Fleetwood Flair were working fine. 20 minutes later they quit working.

I looked for a fuse and didnt find one. I crawled under and checked the ground wire. I didnt see anything amiss.

Any tips on what to check before I start digging into it?

Just signed up for forums. I have had this type of problem in the past with my coach. The motor might have a little sticking problem or the grease just is hard and it goes into a protect mode . If it was cold when this happened I would pull the motor and regrease it
 
What kind of steps @Retired? Kwikee? Kwikee is prone to problems and for that reason I carry a spare controller and motor. Neither are expensive if you find at the right place such as Amazon and eTrailer are two good places to look.
