Posted a longer thread as to why but the epoxy on the SuperStar fuel doors can fail (both portions on our 22 have while parked) and the door can come completely off without unlocking.

Would be a nice upgrade to have flush head through bolts for the door connection to the hinge and painted to match.

Would be a much better connection overall and not prone to failure as easily.

As an update on this following our warranty appointment…

If anyone has this happen it will take a trip to the body shop for the fuel door to get repaired unless you want what we had them do.

They have to fiberglass in the bolts to the fuel door to reconnect things.

Ours has two stainless bolts now and I’ll post some pics of the finished product once I get a couple smooth top bolts. They used what they had in the shop to repair after I ok’d the change to fix.

Nice part is I won’t have to worry about that door coming off and bouncing down the highway now.
