I have a Blackvue DR-900X in my coach and the 2-channel version (forward and rear cameras) in the toad. The blackvue in the toad went into reboot every minute mode for some reason. I tried replacing the SD card as all searches pointed to it being bad. No luck, time to ante up for a new dashcam.
I did a review of the various 4K dashcams and decided Blackvue remains my choice for dashcams so I ordered the newer Blackvue DR970X 2-channel. I have to say, so far I am impressed with it. Nice improvements and I really like the built in voltage monitor to avoid using the contraption I had to use before, I think it was called power magic or something like that, that would allow the device to run until a set voltage cutoff point.
I figured the install may be easier than I dreaded as I had hoped not to have to run new wires and just plug the existing wires into the new cameras. The nice thing first is the mounts are the same so just sliding out the old cameras, both forward and rear, and inserting the new cameras worked perfectly. The wire from the rear camera to the front camera works perfect, but unlucky on the main power cable as they did redesign that so the old wouldn't work. Darn it! So I entered that task into the procrastination queue but think I'll just knock that out today and be done with it. I went ahead and sprung for the option that included the 512GB SD card as they finally have decent prices for the SD card options as before I would just get that separately for far cheaper.
I'm at the point now that I just don't want to be without a dash cam in this crazy world of people on phones all the time and I'll take any and all evidence I can get if the time ever comes I may need it. I did remember to turn off the voice like before as I recall @sheridany's "wife" was quite the firecracker on audio while driving. We certainly don't need a repeat of that colorful language recorded as most of my driving has colorful commentary and real time grading of fellow drivers![Smile :) :)](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
Never a day without money spent...you're welcome Jeff!
