Transferable Warranties??

Hi. I am new to RVing and would like to know more about warranties. I was told that if i bought a used vehicle, there is no transferable coach warranty from the factory if any is leftover. Is this true??? Are the ford chassis and engine warranties transferable from one owner to the next???
Any help is appreciated.

I would think this would vary from one brand to another. There are aftermarket warranties you can buy but be sure to read all the fine print and make sure you understand what is covered and what is not.

Watch out for the Ford warranty. It starts when the manufacturer buys the chassis, not when the first customer buys the finished unit. I call for an issue that was present from the time of purchase, but low priority. I called one day after the warranty expired. Ford explained this and told me I was on my own. You arew smart checking this all out in advance.

I sold Ford Commercial Trucks for 15 years. You are absolutely correct. They will do NOTHING if you are 1 day past the warranty period. I sold about 1000 F450/F550 a year in the wrecker industry. Even selling that many chassis I could NOT get them to do ANYTHING for my customers................and this was from 2003 to 2008 during the Powerstroke 6.0 and 6.7L engine ordeal. It was horrible. I'm glad I sell Ram trucks now!!!

If you're going to have the dealer you buy the warranty from perform most of the service i would recommend buying from the dealer over goodsam. The dealer will have alot more leverage to get things approved vs a national chain that you're just one of thousands.

I do not like the way Camping World does business. PERIOD. They are always my very last resort if I need anything. I will even pay extra somewhere else just so I don't have to shop there. With that in mind, if there is an alternative anywhere else, but it from them and NOT Good Sam. My $.02. Keep the change.
