Being new to this world the question is When and where to unload your toad dolly? Before arriving at campground? At check in or at the campsite?

Do it somewhere that you won't be blocking the people behind you. Nobody wants to wait while you unhook your car.

I agree totally but is there an unwritten rule of the best place to do it or does just depend on each location. Guess it's like the boat ramps. Have everything ready to go and get out of the way for the next guy.

We stay at a camp ground in Daytona that has a lane to pull into to unhook your TOAD. This allows all other incoming traffic to pass by without waiting. Most camp grounds do NOT have this so if you do it while checking in you will be blocking everyone. The alternative would be for your wife to go check in WHILE you unhooked the car. Doing both simultaniously would not take any longer so it would be OK in my opinion. At least you're concerned about other people. Some clueless folks out there just pull up min the middle of the road like they are the only people in this world with no regard to anyone else.
