Hi all. I am planning to do some camping but have a few issues resolve. I am disabled so tent camping is out. I can't sleep on the floor.

I'm worried about vulnerability if I get a pop up camper and putting them up would be hard.
My tow vehicle is rated for 1800 Lbs. That tow number is hard to find a camper for my suv.

I am thinking about used Class C but they cost too much plus the fuel prices will be awful the next three years.

Do I purchase a used van and convert it to a camper?

I don't like to cook inside my camping vehicle. I do all my cooking outside. I really don't need a TV. I do need a small refrigerator though. I also want an awning or pop-up awning for the kitchen area. I want a queen bed located at the back of
the van.
I want to set outside and enjoy peace and solitude. I will have multiple weapons at reach should anyone attemp to harm me..

I live in the mountains of NC so we have campgrounds galore. The only great distance will be a trips to Pensscola Beach FL. Savanah GA, Myrtle Beach area. Your input would be apappreciated.

I have a class c ford midas and love it but its me plus 3 so if it's just you I'd definitely go the vanlife route this is something I was planning with my own Chrysler town and country but needed something bigger now that I have kids. Try getting a van that's already gutted or like mine with collapsible seats, good luck!!

If you are comfortable with towing and your disability doesn't hinder you, you might consider finding a used or new small fiberglass trailer.
Scamp. Casita, a few others. They are light, can be fairly simplistic and tend to be durable. Good luck.
