Had the occasion to use the Viair 400 to add air to a tire. Very hot after use.
Thoughts on what lube to use to cool down operation?

Hot is normal I believe.

I sold my viair and switched to this:

they do run hot. I have never heard of adding lube to it.

According to the Mfg User Manual

“Your air compressor is equipped with permanently lubricated, maintenance-free motor.
Never try to lubricate the compressor. Regularly clean dust and dirt from compressor cooling fins
and motor housing. A ll repairs should be performed by Manufacturer or Manufacturer authorized
service agencies only”
