Crossroads sunset super light. How long should it take for my electric water heater to heat the water? 2 hours and it’s not even warm. Is there a switch somewhere that I need to flip. When using the electric and propane it comes out to hot.

If there is no hot water on just electric, your element may be burned out.

First check to see if both the switch on the water heater outside is turned on, as well as the switch inside. Did you check top see if the hater is getting power?

Travel trailer is only a month old. Worked fine at the dealership. I’ve looked at the water heater itself and can’t find any kind of switch. Only switch is inside the trailer labeled electric water heater. Thanks!!!

I assume you are on shore power. What is the model of your water heater?

Have you ever mistakenly turned on the electric side without water in the tank?

I have water in the holding tank with heat strip on, not very hot. When I’m hooked up to campground water I use electric water heater, water not hot! I’ve look for switches at the water heater and there are none! Only switch is in the trailer. Electric or Gas or both.

Looks like the black and the white wire on the lower right are supplying the 110V to the heater coil. You have to check if there is power getting to then. If you are not sure how to check, ask someone that knows. It may be the relay to the right of the coil that has failed?

I have a Grey Wolf TT that has a dual water heater system. At the water heater is where I turn on the electric portion if using that only. See attached photo. If I want to use dual or just gas, inside on the control panel you will see in the picture the rocker switch for activating the gas side.
