I have a 2019 leprechaun 280ss we have a water leak that appears to be related to the water heater technician been here twice and can not find the problem any ideas
Thank you in advance keith

Where is the water ? Inside / outside ? There's a relief valve that may be leaking. Is the leak constant ? A bit more information would help zero in on a cause. Blessings

Thanjsvfor replying the leak shows up in the bottom of thevcompartment outside tv is in we put a cloth there and it gets wet each day seams to be when the wayer heater is on i had a tech here twice he checked all he could think of dhy of temoving the wayer heater crom outside he left saying he was stumpted. We checked all fitting we could find chevked the releif valve try flussing the black tank and filling the fresh water tank. Filled and drained the sinks no luck

The leak is in the outside compartment where our tv is seems to be when water heater is on had a tech here twice checked fittings valves releif valves no source of leak found. left here confused and out of ideas. About only thing did not do is remove water heater from outside to gain access to tank itself said he did not beleive that to be the source. Any ideas or experiences greatly appreciated keith

The relief valve will only open when the water is heating (or hot). Thus, when you say (seems to be when water heater is on) it makes me think that might be your problem. My suggestion would be, go outside and open up the water heater cover, turn on the water heater, (watch a good game on TV) and see if you can see some sputtering from the relief valve (or any other source of water). Water heaters on RV occasionally leak on the outside. I can't imagine an RV designer putting a TV below a water heater...BUT! Anyhoo, check the drain valve, the relief valve, and I believe you'll find the culprit. Blessings friend...

Can you access the water heater from the inside? Ours is under the Dinette seating and when we had a leak it was loose water line that I just had to tighten up.

Limited access from inside through by removing a drawer under the stove one leak found and fixed but still have small leak
As the rv tech said he was stumpted

Did not solve the problem dont want to have to remove the water heater from outside

We have found so many bad crimp ring fittings on the woven hose type stuff it is amazing. Multiple leaks in more then one unit around the wet bay area. I will not use it and take it out every chance I get.
