Hi everyone I'm new to the forum and also new to recreational trailer pulling. I have experience pulling small commercial trailers. I have 3 commercial trucks and 3 small trailers that weigh under 8000 pounds loaded.
I recently bought a weighsafe true tow weight distribution hitch. I've used it for less than 100 miles pulling our 24' Dutchmen light and it seems like it is wearing excessively at one friction point.
If you would look at the pictures and give me your opinion I would appreciate it.
The 1st picture shows both sides for comparison. The 2nd picture is a close up of the excessive wear area. The 3rd picture is another close up.
These wear points were greased from the factory. As a comparison even the ungreased wear points still look like new.
The manufacturer says the wear is normal.
Thanks for your input.
