Noob here. Wife and I are new to travel trailers and just purchased a 2022 Gulf Stream Vista Cruiser 19RBS.

It hat has a dry weight of ~3200 lbs and a gross weight of 4000 and will likely have a 400lb TW. Tow vehicle will be a 2022 Tacoma.

I'm looking at a Curt 17000 or 17050. Also considering an Eaz Lift R3 48750(400lb) or a 48751(600).

What would you guys recommend?

The ones I was recommended, in order, are the Equal-i-zer, Fastway E2 and Curt Tru-Track. Equal-i-zer is known to be the best but the price is double what the Curt is. Whichever one you go with, I would get one with trunnion bars, rather than chains, to give you added anti sway control.

Even if you don't buy an Equal-i-zer, they have a couple calculators on their website you can use to confirm what weight rating you need and things like that.

I appreciate the response and explanation. I'm beginning to see the importance of this type of hitch. I'm leaning toward the E2 due to our application and lower weights.
