I’m looking to start towing our Ford Expedition with our navigator. What good/ bad experiences with tow bar systems have you had? I’m looking for the best quality system out there.
thanks!

Either Blue Ox or Roadmaster would be good choices for a tow bar. Go to etrailer.com to find out what model(s) will work. You can easily get a dozen different replies on the “best” braking systems - mostly electric, but several air actuated.

Assuming you have an HR Navigator, for anything with airbrakes I really like M&G because there is nothing to remove or store after disconnecting the air line at the bumper (or base plate) and you get immediate braking and release and directly proportional braking.

If you are interested, go to M&G Brake | Car Braking Systems For RVs and see if they have a compatible system for your application.

What year is the Expedition?

Most people will recommend either Blue Ox or Roadmaster for the tow bar but there is another option: NSA Ready Brute. It combines the tow bar with a mechanical braking system and works quite well.

Thank you for that info. Yes it’s an HR navigator. Has the 14.0 liter Detroit in it

The expedition is a 2017
