Think I am gonna replace my rocker switches with some nicer ones, possible from Contura. The standard switches are kinda poor looking, at least on the Ventana.

most rocker switches would be plug and play and I am a bit concerned about the tag dump switch. Has anyone replaced this one?

did you just reconnect everything and it was fine or do I have to pay my head and rub my tummy while wishing on a falling star and staring at a rainbow for it to work again?

They're all basic AFAIK. Pull them out and look at the wires on the back. All the switches do is play operator and cross bridges.

Just a little concerned about how the tag dump switch might interact with a module somewhere on the chassis.

Nothing a credit card can't fix :)

I've pulled mine out. Just make sure you pay attention to wiring location as there are multiple pins not used, and the cables do matter. Nothing harmed with disconnecting the switch.

If I remember there is a slight difference in the mounting hole size between the Carling L series and Contura series. I can't remember which is larger, the difference wasn't much - but you may have to enlarge the hole or find a way to fill the gap if going smaller. Also the switch holders were different. Like RB said the contacts are pretty much standard 0.25" connectors you just have to make sure you get the same kind of switch (momentary, on-off-on whatever) as the one you are replacing. If you pull out the current one you can google the numbers on the side to find out the specs of the switch to make sure you get the same in the other series.
