As with the water pump controller, I am now attacking another small, low priority issue as I get things in order. This one involves the semi-see-through shade on the windshield. It doesnt respond to the control, but the control does give a little beep like it has power. And then there are the little buttons on wires in the top left corner at the end of the shades (see pic). Re-set buttons? Emergency over-ride? Calibration? I don’t know but I would like to make the shade work and I would like to know what these buttons are supposed to do. Its not in the best place for access but I’ll deal with it.

Rich, MCD refers to those as Learning Keys, or buttons. They are used to program the shade and set limits. Here’s a document that may be useful:

thanks - that makes sense. Maybe that shade “learned” not to come down…

This looks like something to approach during my third cup of coffee.

Our windshield shade started creeping down while driving. We tied it up using a velcro strap until we got to the mothership. They replaced the shade motor. Hopefully yours just needs an adjustment.
