I'd love to help, but need some context here. What are we being asked to express an opinion on; liking the 2000 Dutch Star, whether to buy one, etc.? If the former, (y) ; if the latter, a couple of photos is definitely not enough information on which to base an opinion. Help us help you by providing a bit of context.:)

Should I install new headlight assemblies?
 
I may have figured this out; the lights have been changed...right? If so, I prefer the photo on the left; the light treatment looks cleaner and a little less busy. They also look like they would let more light pass through.

Yep, since Newmar used Ford F150 Headlamp units, There are modern upgrades for them. I gotta do something..factory ones are toast. A flashlight would throw out more light. And
want to updated the look to go with a new paint job that is coming. Nearly a bolt in job. I think.
 
@DHudson, did you actually install the lights (on the left) or did you photoshop a picture to see what they would look like? I agree, you gotta do something! The lights on my coach were a mess when I bought it, looked a lot like yours. I spent some time with my rotary buffer and some medium grit buffing compound, followed with a coat of wax, and this is what I got. Basically free if you have a buffer.

But yes, that coach is screaming for new eyes! :)

It's photoshop. Don't want to spend the money and not like it.
 
@DHudson, then I would take the buffer to it. I think you'll be impressed with the results.
 
I like the clean new lights and if you can buy them used from Pick-A-Part junk yard for cheap why not? Have no clue what a new set would cost from a dealer, but I go cheap when I can.
 
Bottom line...If you want the cheapest solution...then buff them out.

But...those are Halogens, so you'll never match the output of the newest high-intensity LED, HID, or XENONs.

So...if you want BETTER light output, REPLACE the ENTIRE assembly with a high-output model the is DESIGNED FOR THAT BULB! There's been quite a bit of discussion and experiments with just replacing the bulbs, but NOTHING will give you the best output.
