It was tight but we managed to squeeze in for a few electrons. (That is sarcasm. Holy carp :). This is Belleville Ontario.

What are you averaging for mileage on a full charge?
I don’t know in miles but we use 200 kilometres for planning although it can vary based on conditions and speed etc. on a typical 500 to 600 kilometre day we charge three times. Usually one in the morning, once at lunch and once in the afternoon. Typically 20 to 30 minutes per session. The duration kind of depends on the spacing of the superchargers. By the time the chihuahua is walked and we have used the facilities and the coffee cups are full its time to go.

I think the dedicated electric half tons will be better at this. But this works fine for us. Gotta say though, the only time we have ever had to wait for charging is when we have used a non tesla fast charger which was maybe once during the trip.

We are stopped in Kingston for a week visiting family. Then we’ll be back in tour mode for a week or two so those are typically short days of less than 100 kilometres. Then we’ll be heading west out of Quebec and knocking off a couple thousand kilometres in about 4 days and then back into tour mode for the last 2 weeks thru southern Alberta and southern BC. Should be fun. But for now we are driveway camping. 😊

Hope that helps.

Yah, no. :). It’s more of a reality check on charging at public chargers and the turmoil and troubles that come with that. It has nothing to do with charging or travelling in a Tesla using the Tesla private supercharger network where one would experience none of those problems or charge times. There is a reason that Tesla is the vast majority of the EV market. We have experienced 100 percent serviceability in almost three years. Of tesla travelling.

It’s also much cheaper than they are alluding to and 6 to 7 times cheaper if you charge at home.

I get that this is an American right wing publication and in the US EV’s are actually politicized. If you are one party EV’s are bad. And the other party they are good. :). That is kinda goofy in itself. The article is a hit piece written by a political party. Funny but true. :).

Safe travels all.

Cheers.

Woohoo. Back in tour mode. We have had a great week and a half of visiting relatives in various parts of Ontario. But today we hit the road and crossed into Quebec this afternoon. We are staying at Pointe des cascades campgrounds on lake ST Louis. Lots of history here going back to the American Canadian war in 1812. Canal building etc to get munitions and such to Ottawa.

The first 15 minutes of conversation was fun as every time I was missing the correct French word my brain would fill it in with the Spanish word. Thankfully the lady at the tourist bureau also spoke Spanish so it actually went pretty smooth. After the first 15 minutes my brain found it’s French groove and I am yammering like a native speaker…with a horrible English accent. 😊.

Here are a few pics. On to Quebec City tomorrow. Should be fun.

Oh, and the last supercharger in Ontario, and it had a trailer stall, keeping our average at about 50 percent the number of superchargers that either have trailer stalls or back access to the stalls.

We arrived in Lévis Quebec. We are here for a about 5 days and will use this as a base to explore the surrounding area including Lévis and Quebec City.

I highly recommend this location as a base of operations for the old city of Quebec. The ferry ride is 10 minutes, you can bring your dog, you park your car on the Lévis side for 8 bucks for the day or take the campground shuttle for free.

We stayed in the campground called “Camping Transit”. Very nice husband and wife team that own and run it. 200 plus spaces. Excellent wifi. Maybe 10 minutes to the ferry parking lot…ish.

Today we took a down day and just toured the old city of Lévis. Hundreds of years of French Canadian history here. It feels good to speak French again although most in the tourist industry here can speak some English.

Like most Quebec cities it is super clean and SUPER FRIENDLY to tourists.

Too many pictures to explain here but like most of Quebec, a very European feel. I love this province.

Oh, and for those towing with Teslas, the Drummondville supercharger is an excellent lunch stop if coming from Ottawa. Located at a huge mall and it has a grocery store.

That is Quebec City in the background on the other side of the st Lawrence river, chateau Frontenac and the plains of Abraham where a decisive battle was fought between the British and French.

Tomorrow we take the ferry and start exploring the old city of Quebec. I intend to try and eat my weight in poutine while I’m there. Wish me luck. 😜

Beautiful! But what are those pictures of @Voyageurs ?

Hi Jim. All those pictures from today are of the town of Lévis. It’s right across the st Lawrence river from Quebec City in the province of Quebec.
