Overhead Front Amber Clearance Lights

[Texas Clodhopper]

I need to replace 2 of the front overhead amber clearance lights on my 2017 Ventana. I checked Newgle and only the side marker lights are listed and for once I remembered to do a forum search with no luck. I know there is most likely a DOT number on the fixture but I'm trying to save a trip on the roof of the coach. Any suggestions?

Get spare overhead front/rear lights, side orange marker lights, and the license plate light. Email Newmar Parts, Joe Gentry is who gives me the great info. I've had two state inspections now where one of these dang lights were out as I didn't check. For those at Newmar doing the o'dark'30 wake-ups, this is a great time to check your lights as the tech pulls away with your coach.

I just replaced two up front…. They don’t always give much spare wire, so I used small vice grips to hold them in place. And only cut one wire at a time.

Thanks for the heads up. Are they screwed or just used the caulk.

Any auto parts store, NAPA, Auto Zone, OReilly carries them. The ones Newmar uses tend to burn out quickly. I have replace all of mine with a little better quality LED ones from OReilly's here is the link

I will second that on the short cables. Could not get one of them out more than ~¾" and had to splice on. used locking forceps to hold the wire. You would think if Newmar could just move some of the 100's of feet of spare wires all over the coach to just a few more inches on each of these marker lights in a totally unreachable location on...

They are just caulked….but they are snuggly stuffed in each hole. You will need some good caulk. They used clear caulk on mine (a lot) but I recaulked mine with black to match my rig.

The wires are longer than you think. The wires are bound up in the goop they put behind them to keep moisture out. There are actually bullet connectors back in there somewhere. My coach is five and a half years old and I replaced all five. I am not sure, but I think the best way to get them out would be to drill a small hole in the center and use a slide hammer to get them out. I came up that that idea after I had to take the cabinetry out to get the last finished. They all had to be pried and chiseled out. They are 3/4" button lights that are available as said above at auto parts or truck part stores. I got the ones with chrome bezels.
