At what pressure do you set the compressor at?I blow out the lines then I do anti-freeze. I use to just blow out with a compressor but I had a low spot in the line going up to the kitchen sink and water collected in the elbow and cracked it. Of course, I found out on my way south for the winter when I de-winterized en route. Now I do both and haven't had any issues, just cheap insurance.
Hopefully you don't have a hydro or aquahot system. Those require antifreeze as it's not realistic for all water to be removed with just air due to the number of turns the coil takes. Expensive fix if not done thoroughly.I winterized my RV without antifreeze. First, drain all tanks (fresh water tank, black and gray holding tanks, and all faucets and toilets of water). Then, using the air compressor and blowout plug for the water lines, connect the air compressor to the blowout plug and ensure that the air compressor is at 30 to 50 psi.
