Seemed odd to me as well. For someone starting a dealership, why not do consignment or brokerage? Why would someone tie up a bunch of cash in used units?

There is a part of me that feels sorry for this man.

We don't know the circumstances of why after 40 years he is no longer in the auto industry. What we do know from Brett is he was let go during his probationary period for non-performance. Let's face it, he is not a spring chicken therefore getting another position may not be very easy. Unfortunately, he chose to air his grievances on this RV forum and this is not the place for that, in my opinion.

I hope he has learned from this experience and finds what he is searching for.

It is unfortunate but my job and the job of the volunteer staff here who I appreciate is to ensure the community is safe and protected from people that are scammers or cannot be trusted. Let's get back to the joy of RVing and move on from this unfortunate event but we all know this is life and hope for the best for those that need help.
