I will check, but it is working on AC. You put it on HP and it runs, but it is producing cold air instead warm air.
That sounds like a stuck valve. AFAIK, the only cure is to replace unit.

I stand by my Fan-Tastic Vent fans with wall mounted remotes and rain sensors. They have performed flawlessly; they are a little loud at full fan speed but quiets considerably as you lower the speed. I don't care for the big boxes fitted over the fans on my roof. To each their own.

The issue I have with fantastic fans is the inability to use the fan during a rain event. Often that is the best time to open and get fresh air. Using the big covers solves the problem, but enhances the noise dramatically.

You can turn off the rain sensor to allow use during rain, the angle of the vent lid allow little to no rain to enter, none if just a drizzle. And, you can always add the box over the vent if you're ok with that.

Sadly that has not been my experience. I have 3 of these fans and they auto open to full open.

2 I could cover but the cathedral ceiling fan is too high to allow for a cover. That will be getting the MaxxAir fan next week. I’ve talked about doing this for several years. Finally going to bite the bullet.

I wasn't trying to convert anyone, just sticking up for my fan. :)

OK, so I checked out the Maxxair on Amazon that Jim posted, it is a pretty nice unit, I like the screens are easily removed for cleaning and the low profile.

Sometimes I feel really dumgry,(dumb and angry). In fiddling with the AC/heat pump I discover it is an AC only. Neal, I'm gonna need your help. In my old orders list I look at my Amazon order receipt and it say I purchased a 15K penguin ii ac with heat pump. If you click on the link from the order receipt it takes you to a 15k AC only product The order was placed through Amazon to CWDS. That is the Dometic online store. I have emailed Dometic product support to see what they have to say.
