Norcold refrigerator

While parked my norcold 1211 runs on gas perfectly but driving down the road the temperature starts going up after an hour or so. It continues to run but for some reason the temperature goes up to 45-50. The temperature is set on 4. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Are you on Auto or gas?
I think it is stuck on 110 AC and not switching over to gas while you're not plugged in.

On gas
It tends to do the same when on 110 with of course the inverter on.
Thinking it may be going into defrost mode but I’ve tried to turn the refrigerator off and back on again before I leave thinking that defrost is on a timer.

That may be it, but far from my knowledge---I do not have a defrost setting on my Norcold. Just Auto, Off, & Gas.

The defrost as I understand it is built into the chip board that after so many hours of operation automatically defrosts

Exactly! Auto defrost cycle is about every 48 hours.
