Alde valve?

I have a 2016 CS Adventuress. There is a valve under the right front seat which I believe has something to do with the Alde system. Does anyone know what this valve might be for? Should the valve normally be open or closed? All comments will be appreciated. Thank you.

I believe that valve shuts off engine coolant to the small heat exchanger under the seat. Ours is on all the time.

Yes, when the engine is running, hot engine coolant circulates through a small, (but very efficient) heat exchanger under the seat. So yes, warm is normal

This allows heat from the engine to supply heat to the Alde for cabin heating and also heats the water for showering etc. This allows you to have heat and hot water without using propane or being plugged in to shore power.
