Today, I tried the Ethiopian Yirgacheffe. It is better with creamer and a small touch of sweetness (never sugar). This has a unique flavor, but not the flavor of the coffee in the good steak houses. Perhaps one cannot get this in a kcup.

So far my favorite may still be Newman’s Own.

Me neither. Guess it comes down to anything except Starbucks. I hate someone who has been able to convince people that coffee is worth that much. :-)
Don't be a hater! Some people LOVE StarBucks. I agree with you. I could drink it everyday at work as we have a free StarBucks coffee machine. Can't stand it. But thats why they make different brands!
Convince people? Might convince you to try it but to like it?
You either do or you do not!

I used to like Newman's, but, thanks to someone on a different forum, I tried and now love Community Coffee & Chicory.
Saw that one, but never heard of it. I have a lot of coffee to go through, but I will add that to the list. Thanks.

Not a fan of Keurig at all.
This is the way I like my coffee made. No electricity required.

We grind beans coffee as needed and use a French Drip Press. Mostly specialty coffee that is certified heavy metal and other toxins free

I am easy, we buy Green Mountain K cups. My favorites are Dark Magic, Sumatra and French Roast. On the first setting so it is stronger.

K-cups, Gevalia Dark Roast and Cafe Bustelo espresso

I tried to convince my taste buds to like Starbucks once. They filed a restraining order. :)

I think Starbuck must have been exported from Cardacia. Even Klingons don’t like it.

Never cared for Starbucks

I had been using low acid coffee from Amazon under the Don Pablo brand for several years. A few months ago, their quality control took a dive. The rim seal on the KCups would fail and coffee grounds would go everywhere. The coffee maker would get clogged, etc. That was not the only brand that had that problem, based on my reading on the net. Looking for solutions on the web, I found none that worked well for us.

I was about to toss a box of 72 pods. My wife discovered an obvious technique that allowed us to use the defective pods. Push the KCup down piercing the bottom of the cup, like normal. Then, take a paring knife and pierce the foil seal about six times around the KCup. Before the pressure gets high enough to blow out the seal, it is vented though the holes in the top of the foil. I had tried punching multiple holes in the bottom. That did not work. Now we do get just a bit of grounds in the coffee, but not a significant amount.

I'm the engineer, but she came up with the obvious solution. I did not find any suggestions about piercing the top surface of the seal in my web searches. The reason piercing the bottom extra times does not work is that the wet grounds cover and clog the holes on the bottom. They don't on the top.

Not trying to hijack the thread. I figured some others in RVs would have the problem too.

Every once in awhile I do get a little grounds in my coffee, but a major concern.
I wish I could predict which Kcups would blow out before they do, but, not being Superman, I don't have xray vision. ;)

Call me a heathen, but I like Dunkin Donuts original blend K cups.
Another heathen here too.
But a cheap heathen. We use reusable pods and get the DD original blend in a container from Costco, so much cheaper.

These are the pods we use, two come in the package and after 3+ years are still using the first pod.
