Well, I wouldn’t call them “amazing,” but thank you. I’ve only got one lens, a Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 28-300mm. Picked it up used for $350 and decided to learn the ropes before sinking serious money into glass. As you know, it’s all too easy to spend more on a lens than on the camera, so I figured I’d better know what I’m doing before the inevitable spree begins.@Jim which lens did you end up with for your amazing shots? I may look for some new glass in the future.
He is such a handsome fellow! We love them so, and so wish they could be with us longer. Our Dusty is 13, and I do not know what we will do without him.Judy DRyker, he's almost 9 now. Hate to see him growing so old, and so fast. All that grey! But the last couple of years have been very rough on him.

Thank you, CG!Jim,
Doin' good!
A couple tips for you, when shooting wildlife, moving objects, etc.
Learn about shutter speed, and how to us Shutter Priority . . .
I was a photographer for our High School Yearbook. Built a dark room in the basement of our house,. Shot a Canon EF. I believe it was Canon's first electronic shutter speed camera. Not all speeds, just some...that way you could still take photos with a dead battery.Back in the day when I purchase my first SLR it was a Canon AE1. I loved that camera. It used 35mm film
I have a Nikon that has too many bells and whistles. I should be using it a lot more often so I can remember how to use it properly but the phone is so convenient and the pics are usually good enough for just "camping pics". I get it out for special scenes but find that it takes too much effort to read the book of words all over again and by that time the scene just isn't there anymore.I was a photographer for our High School Yearbook. It's still hanging around but hasn't been used for a very long time. Nikon digital D40X was next. Worked for a while, and started getting a little wonky., Switched to cellphone. But really wanted to get a nice rig again for traveling. Just purchased a Canon R8...and am trying to learn which Lenses to add before our long RV trip this summer. Interested in the RF200-800...and can adapt my 18-200 Nikon lens if I don't mind loosing autofocus and stabilization. It came with a kit lens, which isn't going to cut it for wildlife and birds...
