We have known Kevin for a few years so we’ve got to listen to this first hand.

It has been challenging for him to say the least.

I just watched this video earlier today prior to your post.

All the other incompetence occurring as this progressively gets worse aside, there's not one tile floor installer on the planet that's going to install ceramic or porcelain tile directly onto a non-monolithic porous wood substrate, none ever. The caveats to doing that are too numerous to even get started with. You might get by with something like a Schluter-DITRA membrane and a solvent or urethane type thin set, but it's unlikely an RV manufacturer like Thor is going to invest in doing it right vs quarterly dividends to shareholders.

How was the original owner unaware of the value of a coach he recently bought? It smells like the deal was too good to be true.
Sad that anyone has to go through this when we are just trying to enjoy the fruits of our hard work

If what Kevin is saying is true, and the video certainly seems to support it, I can’t help but wonder why Jayco (i.e., Thor) wouldn’t simply buy the unit back and put an end to this kind of damaging publicity.

It’s honestly amazing to me that they would allow something like this to remain in circulation. It only takes one or two lost sales to cost them a small fortune, and it seems entirely believable that a first-time or prospective buyer would run the other way after seeing that video.

That said, I suppose buying the coach back wouldn’t necessarily stop the video from continuing to spread. And Thor has never really seemed particularly troubled by bad press. Their reputation for marketing and failing to support subpar products is almost legendary at this point, so perhaps someone at the top simply doesn’t care.

I know it would sure bother me though!

Yeah, we’ve known him for a few years - all true.

They did make a mess when they did the original replacement - kind of disgusting listening to it first hand.

One thing to consider, this coach was purchased used.

Now that argument is thrown out after Entegra accepted responsibility and replaced the floor. That workmanship begins an entire new claim.

I feel the video and argument would be better if the focus was on the factory repair and the quality of the work.

The damage done during the repair is so bad that the only recourse is a buy back.
