Newmar Artisan coaches

First off, I'm sorry if I offend anyone, this is just my opinion.

I saw a post on Facebook today of someone selling a 2026 London Aire that has the Artisan paint job. In my opinion, I don't like it, okay, I'll say it - it looks terrible. Who in the world came up with that nonsense?

Are you talking about the paint job like on Casey's coach? When I saw it in person, it looked very nice (except for the black wheels, which I'm not a fan of).

A video I watched seems to indicate the customer is allowed to graphically design the exterior paint job, then Newmar obliges by painting it to match. Then that design is stored away as a "one of a kind". The video I saw even showed that it had 1/1 (one of one) on the side of the coach. I guess how elaborate or how "funky" the customer wants it is the deciding factor.

No, that's not the one, but similar. I'll see if I can find it.

Edit: I'm not going to hunt for it or call it out. I don't want to single out someone's coach as ugly (to me), I just want to say in general I don't like the gawdy artwork on a Newmar motorhome. To each their own. It just doesn't appeal to me nor does the NASCAR emphasis of Newmar sales when that is totally missing the market and majority lifestyle of people that buy these coaches to roam, socialize, explore, and spread your wings. My $.02 only.

I agree that everybody's taste is different. And my taste has changed from my first coach to my current. This is my 4th A Class coach. I got tired of the Tiffin different color swirls and oval switch backs on their coaches. Fortunately Tiffin gives you three different Generations of color schemes, each generation has 4 or 5 different color schemes.

I liked the color scheme on my 2021 with the bold gold base, maroon swirl switch back and other colors, my wife hated it. Go figure.

On my current coach I wanted something more subtle. When I saw it in person I fell in love with the color. Tiffin calls It White Mahogany water fall.

Now that Newmar lets you to add a individual touch to the paint job, I am sure you are going to see some wild ideas.

I like it.

I’ll never have blackened wheels and whatnot, but I like the paint scheme. I’m too much of a Crager mag dude to turn my back on chrome.

I’ll give Newmar this much; they have figured out different ways to paint the same front cap on Dutch Stars seven years running.

Surely the front cap is due for a remodel soon?

If I had access to Newmar execs, that’s a question I would ask. *hint* @No Plan @MarkMaxPayne

Humm! I like the concept! I have hinted that cookie cutter coaches lack in every way uniqueness.

Congrats to Newmar for at least making a step towards Newell! Now they should make an effort in the only thing that counts!!! Quality!!!

Casey's new coach is silver with american flag on rear....very sharp...except the torn off rear clip

Paint, color and graphics have always been an issue in the hot rod world. Many customers always wanted to go with current trends of the day. I always tried to talk them out of it.
You could work with traditional styles, flames, scallops, etc. But in the mid to late nineties I cringed and refused the pastels with pastel graphics. They were out of style the day that they started but many jumped on that wagon.
I am a traditionalist with a bit of stretch. I took a change in flame design on one of my 32 Fords and it was a home run, to this day I still see a play on my design. That car went worldwide in magazines, A partial Beach Boys cd cover, poster pullouts, magazine covers and a diecast collectible. The legend, Dean Jeffries loved it when he saw it.
People need a eye for design before putting paint to "canvas"

Valid! Many don't think of this, or don't care. It may be cool at the beginning, oh wow, then when it comes time to sell you have a problem. I almost did a custom paint job on the plane and that would have been a problem. When I was at Pacific Shores or whatever it's called motorcoach resort, there was a Dutch Star with some very odd colors. It may represent their college or something they did but when it comes time to sell they'll have a problem I would guess. It was not pretty to me.
