Bought this 2024 265TH brand new, first trip 12 things go wrong with unit, took it back to dealer, waited 3 months to get it back, missed multiple camping trips already planned and paid for. Not a happy camper as they would say. Now I have a reoccurring problem with AC. It shuts down only at night even when camping in Florida in the heat. No big outside temp swings, just usual temps. Makes no sense ! Anyone on here have similar issues ? I think I’m gonna try thermostat first and see what happens, of course it’s out of warranty. Thanks for any ideas

You may inquire at campgrounds for good mobile techs. I have had much better success with highly revommended techs than with dealers. Ask camp host, and long stay campers.

Could you describe shutting down at night only?
And please let me know what make and model it is and the pic of the thermostat.

After running all day, it shuts off completely usually 9-10pm like clockwork, very weird, it works perfect all day, and its not that the unit is up to temp yet

Ditto on this. We pretty much refuse to return our fifth wheel to the dealer because we don't want it sitting on their lot for months, even if we don't have trips planned. We have an extended warranty for ours and while it doesn't cover on-site repairs, if I choose I can pay the "mobile fee" and then the warranty company pays for the actual repairs. Well worth it for me.

EVERY TIME I have had work done by a mobile repair team, it has been done 1) Fast, 2) Professionally and 3) correctly. These guys generally survive on word-of-mouth, so they have a vested interested in doing it right.

That was what I did hence asking the questions. You have a Dometic by the thermostat, being a CT model. There were some that had timer schedules in them for multizone campers. Why I asked for info. I have seen loose connections on one of the 3 wires in that thermostat cause issues. Ground on the left, communications in the center, and 12v+ on the right. Pop the cover off and check them. They are a pain in the A&*^s to get the wires in well depending what kind of wires they used. Try that first.

IF you "touch" the up and down button at the same time it will change from F to C scale. Id it reading in Fahrenheit? If you touch all 3 at the same time it will go into diagnostic/initiate mode. It will cycle thru the modes it detects in the ac unit and turn them on as you press up and down thru the numbers. I don't remember the modes by numbers but you can google it. High fan, low fan, compressor, etc.

Ok great, I’ll try that thank you It definitely seemed like a timer was shutting it off
