This is the dashboard A/C louvered outlet in a Class C Freelander (2022) on an E-350 Ford chassis.
Would anyone know how to pop this entire black plastic housing out safely? I'm afraid of breaking it.

I want to rig a vacuum cleaner hose from this vent to send cold air down to a dog kennel on the floor behind us. With this fitting removed, the male end of the hose seems like it'll be a perfect fit for the resulting hole in the dash.

If it sends too much cold air (with no louvers to adjust...) I'll rig a small 'stovepipe' butterfly valve inside the hose.

Any advice will be appreciated....
