Sales of class A motorhomes has been declining. I drove by the Camping World yesterday and it is a sea of TT's and 5th wheels and Class C and B's. Reading the tea leaves maybe?

I wouldn't be too quick to write off the F53, it's not exclusive to Class A motorhomes. It's been made in Mexico since the early 90's and used for several truck platforms in the Americas.

No, just shifting gas Class A production to other Winnebago owned brands. It's all about creative accounting.

The real news is the recreational vehicle market for a school bus chassis which rides like a runaway chuckwagon in a cattle stampede has lasted this long. There's an entire industry in America dedicated to keeping RV's on the f53 chassis from taking up two lanes on the interstate every time a truck overtakes and from feeling like it's run over an IED everytime it rolls over the slightest bump.

When I had my gas CS, there was not a ford dealer who would even talk to me. I hear the same thing from all the other F53 chassis people I know.

You can’t use just any ford dealership. You have to use a Ford commercial/truck facility.

Yup! We bought a 2011 Winnebago on an F53 in September of 2011. During our maiden voyage the dash A/C failed. When we arrived back in Canada (Victoria BC) we stopped at the local Ford dealer to show them the problem they noted that the A/C Compressor had failed but they would not take on the job to replace as it would not fit into their shop. They said they would note the problem and suggested we take it to a Ford dealer in Vancouver. It took a while to get to the mainland and when we did, it was three days over warranty. They told us to take a hike even thought it was documented while under warrantee. Never been back since.
