We stayed at Furnace Creek. I think it's the only one with services but I'm not sure. Death Valley is definitely worth visiting. You have not filled out your full info so I don't know what kind of a rig you have. If you have a high clearance vehicle, there are more places you can visit. Having said that, when we did Race Track Playa we found folks with a Subaru in the parking lot. The top speed I got with my Jeep was less than 20 MPH and it still beat the crap out of it but what ever....
