How many use the manual slide out lock arms

Newmar tech said a lot of people do not use the manual slide lock out arms. I'm curious who doesn't. Seems a no brainer to use them.

We use them but often find that one or both of the locks on each slide become unlocked during travel. I've investigated how to renew or add the devices meant to hold them in the locked position, but haven't found a solution. We've had no ill effects from the locks coming unlocked that we're aware of.

I don't have the crazy tool necessary to lock it down, so I don't use it. My slide won't go out with the engine running, so I haven't been too concerned about it.

The lock is not so much to protect you from driving away with it open as it is to secure the top of the slide during travel as it's only held in at the bottom. I use mine religiously.
