Getting everything hooked up in Bend, OR when a white head appears from below.

Lol! She will like the dog friendly hiking path there! Glad you made the long drive safely. Judy D
Thanks Judy. Long boring painful drive from Winnemucca, NV to Bend. Thankfully my camping neighbor suggested I top off as there are no fuel stops. They were right, I would have been in a pickle leaving with half a tank expecting something up range.

Dog friendly hiking path? I'm truly location disabled when it comes to figuring out what to do at new locations. What is this hiking path you mention so Elli doesn't leave me for a new owner?

It is just a little path on the hilly side edge of the resort. Bend is an outdoor enthusiast type of town. There are lots of hiking areas around. The office there is usually very helpful?

Another thought, Bend is known for micro-breweries, but when you are in the Tillamook area you might like to take a day trip inland a bit to the McMinnville/Yamhill area, the heart of Oregon wineries, especially nice Pinot Noirs. There is also a great air museum there.

Looks like Bend also has a Newmar dealer now; Beaver Coach Sales. They show new inventory of Mountain Aire on up. Looks like they are focusing on Newmar’s “Luxury” line. Nice folks there; we bought our 2014 Ventana LE from them before they were an authorized Newmar dealer; it was on consignment. Good service shop too.

Some other things in that part of Oregon to see: Newberry National Volcanic Monument (astronauts trained there in simulated moonscape terrain), Paulina Peak (pick a clear day and you can see four states plus Canada), Crater Lake (a must-see), Pine Tavern Restaurant in Bend (actually has a huge pine tree growing in the middle of it...and great food) and the High Desert Museum (natural history of the areas geography, wildlife and Native American history).

Over on the coast, the Pelican Pub in Pacific City (not too far from Tillamook and the cheese factory) offers great food and views plus stellar microbrews. It is also home to the “Dory Fleet;” intrepid commercial fishermen that launch small, high-powered boats into the surf and return to run them up onto the sand at high speed.

Lots to do in Oregon.

Thanks @TJ&LadyDi - finding things to do is a big challenge of mine, appreciate the advice and will see what I can fit in between now and Friday's move to the next spot.

I liked Bend. Our son was in the USCG there.
