Well, with perfect timing on THE hottest days in St. George's history, I weathered through the week to have PDI do their magic on our 1524.

I've already been running the PDI Super Boss Tuner, and now wanted them to install their intake and exhaust manifolds which improve airflow and heat handling significantly. This yields better and smoother hill-climbing, lower intake temps, and better mileage.

The guys at PDI are TOP-NOTCH, with great "Can-Do" attitudes, despite working in temps up to 115 degrees!!

Took 4 days by the time we ran a before and after dyne, installs, a couple mechanic repairs, and some lighting.

We ran the after Dyno in THE WORST conditions possible. The peak temps hit 115 as we pulled in, and even the Dyno brake system had overheated prior to running test. I recorded the whole thing on Facebook Live and received a lot of responses.

The numbers were great, with Dyno HP at 600 and Torque at 1638ft.lbs. The problem with the Allison trans, is once the Dyno applies full load at the peak RPM for torque, the trans will downshift, which messed up the readings which have to be taken in 4th (direct drive). Still, the numbers were awesome; considering all the negative conditions.

The drive home was great; smooth and strong and will only get better.

Thanks Neal. Yes, we are extremely fortunate to have found a 7 year old Newell in immaculate condition. Aside from body design cues, nothing will giver her age away. They're out there, though, and it seems that Newell owners...in general...take great pride and care of their Newell; regardless of age. @ARD 's checkbook is in good hands with you. :)

I could not agree more!! Do you know when I have to get her deposit in for the 2024's? She likes even numbered year coaches so I'm just trying to get a head start. ?

@CaptainGizmo so back to your thread...can you explain what you had done and why?

Be glad to! I thought #1 explained it all. Can you tell me what other info you’d like to know?

I’m editing my video of the week and will be posting it soon.
