This guy took his family to Oregon....... it didn't end well

They were probably in a hurry. Slow down and save a life. It might be your own life that is saved.

Thanks Neil for your moderator efforts. Whatever I missed I probably did not want to see.

Wow, that's had to be a wakeup call for him!

I've never been as long as I am with this current coach. 45' and towing a jeep. And now, I'm changing toads from the Jeep to my GMC truck, so add another 5' or so.

I watch my back up camera, and don't start to move over until I see space between the other vehicle and my toad. Heading to Nappanee next week and coming home will be my first time pulling the GMC.

Hope I do better than that guy!

I agree! The video stated a 35yo male, that, coupled with a family and a mortgage usually cause men to become a bit more risk averse, usually. A better power to weight ratio and a family sedan would have easily made that pass. A decent sized class C, not so much. I don't appreciate when an overtaking semi hogs the left lane several hundred yards before the next slow poke, especially when the overtaking speed is 0.5mph faster, that clearly wasn't the case in this situation. I'm glad to hear the driver and especially the woman and kids suffered only minor injuries when it was laid over.

Could have been avoided!
Most truckers signal passing vehicles with a couple flashes of their head lights when it is safe to move over.

Of course the passing on the right, and trying to squeeze in without enough room leads to such results.

Last, but by far from the least! It is not someone else's responsibility to give you room, while you are driving responsibly???

The old adage "Haste makes waste" certainly applies. If he was in a hurry to start he certainly became very late after his foolish maneuver. But more so, his action probably caused the semi and the truck driver to be delayed and caused down time for the truck repair.

We came close to being stuck in Trois Rivieres, Quebec waiting for some repair because an idiot was in a hurry. See my Dash Cam video.

That is why we have dash cameras, to many zombies out there nowadays.
