Thank you everyone for letting me know about this rv program. Sounds like I do not need to join. Saves on more money to not join, lol.

    Where were we in 2024?

For the month of April, we volunteered as camp host at Pocahontas State Park. In October we traveled west to St Louis, then south to central Texas to visit my brother. We also visited my other brother Daryl in south Texas. Then east to Jacksonville Florida and then north back home to Virginia...

    RV Parks Occupancy

Yes and I do not think we will see a drop in price. I am still making reservations. Coming home in April from AZ we had no reservations and did fine. Some stays were Harvest Host.

    Campground Costs

You can join "CampersCard", which is a sister company of Harvest Hosts. I think it's $39 bucks and then you get discounted rates at all the participating campgrounds. I believe that today was their official "launch date".

    Alternative to Harvest Host

I always look to see if they prohibit generators. Most of the time, the hosts that appeal to me, in the location I need, are either silent on generators (implied acceptance) or state they are allowed. If I feel that I will be needing the generator and they prohibit or greatly restrict, then I...

Lenderink Tree Farm, Belmont MI. Harvest Host. First of 2 Harvest Host stops on our way to Nappanee. Nice large spot to park with lots of greenery away from freeways. T-Mobile home. 359 down, 12 up.

What's Happening at Deer Springs RV Park?

Those are awesome additions, Jim! That smaller boondocking site might make a pretty good Harvest Host site. Free site (when available), one night only, and free advertising to highly-qualified RVers, who will certainly return for a paid site once they see the place. ;)

    Sleep without generator/AC in FL?

Super noob here. I see that places like Harvest Hosts don't allow generators after 10. How would you sleep in 90+ degree temps without one?

Headed to Colorado from western NC. Any pointers for the best route? I have joined Harvest Hosts and Boondockers Welcome, but I definitely plan on staying in some private campgrounds as well.
