Where were you with your TIFFIN today?

Well we put on about 375 miles today. Stopped at Harvest Host Pals Brewery.in North Platte Nebraska. Great craft beers, custom pizzas and nachos. Parked in a huge field just for Harvest Host customers. Very friendly, very nice. HH

Where were you with your NEWMAR today?

When will you be at that little NC CG?

    Alternative to Harvest Host

I have never had a problem. Most will tell you in their write what they allow. Several places I have stayed at have actually had power hookups for free.

    Red Feather Lakes, CO

We agree with you. We very very rarely stay at an RV park. We love the County, state, federal and Corp of Engineers campgrounds as well as BLM land. When traveling we use Harvest Host and Boondockers welcome

    There went Walmart parking

Wow, that's weird. And no, I never have either and wouldn't for the people we see on TV these days. I'll pay for safety. Harvest Hosts is your best bet for an overnight free (after membership) and enjoy a great destination usually as well.

How do you find a RV Park?

...NON trip planning and just doing CG searching. RV Trip Wizard is more designed for planning longer trips of multiple days, etc. And yes Harvest Hosts is another one I use for my overnights vs. a $70 KOA overnight. But Harvest Hosts requires more research to avoid situations like I recently...

    Help for size RV

Boondockers unlimited is the one for homes and land. They are a sub of Harvest Host. They include wineries etc.

Not camping in public camp grounds

Harvest host (affiliated with boondockers welcome now) is also an option.

    Great, thx for that info.

Planning our first ever big trip!

Have you learned about Harvest Hosts? For an annual membership, it gives access to over 1,200 wineries, breweries, distilleries, museums, farms and golf courses. Overnight for $0. All they ask is that you consider patronizing their business. 2-3 stays “pays” the annual membership versus...

I just got on to a new site for RVers?

We are like you in that we travel about the same distance in a day. It gives time to relax upon arrival. We are 70 feet long with our SuperCrew toad so we do have to watch where we choose. If they have space minus the toad I will unhook it so we can get it in. It has no been a huge problem...

Where were you with your NEWMAR today?

Prairie Grass Ranch. Harvest Host. Cheyenne WY. A goat farm (with turkeys, dogs, and chickens). Just down the road from Curt Gowdy State Park. Wide open field to park rig with tow still connected. No leveling required. We are the only ones here tonight. If you are into it, you can milk the goats...

The days of same day booking for parks seem to be gone.

I just canceled my HH membership - never used it - there didn't seem to be any decent stops along our route from Texas to Washington state.

    Thoughts on Harvest Hosts

I wonder, do the places that list with Harvest Host do so exclusively? Or are they listed in other places (like the review sites, hipcamp, etc). I don't do HH (and I won't as it does not suit my needs). But I've noticed that sometimes people mention staying at museums and I have seen museums...

    Resolved FWS not responsive

All of my slides are electric, non HWH. After getting my LiFePO4 house battery upgrade and harvest hosting a night I did a test on the amp draw of running slides off of house batteries. Surprised to see how little power they do draw when running. If it was running off of chassis batteries I...

    Alternative to Harvest Host

I find Passport America (PpA) to be more convenient than Harvest Host. I looked into HH when they first started up. I read a lot of reviews from people who used it. I finally decided it wasn't for me. May I suggest freecampsites.net for finding an overnight. It doesn't have all the "free or...

Where were you with your NEWMAR today?

Stayed at a wonderful Harvest Host in Atkins, Arkansas a couple of nights ago....Paw Paw's Pecan Farm. The absolute quiet and peace of being parked between the rows of pecan trees was truly uplifting. Charlotte and Billy were kind and welcoming hosts. The fudge and the pecans, plain, brittled...
