    A better TPMS?

I had a 38' 2018 Tiffin Phaeton on which I installed an STS TPMS (no repeater). It worked great. I traded the Phaeton in for a 2024 40IP Bus. The Bus has its own TPMS so I'm just using the sensor "buttons" just on my toad. Sitting stationary (i.e. parked) the STS reads the toad tire pressure...

Check your tires every travel day!

Well, if you don't know how to properly use a power washer, yes, it can damage lots of things. Just like a hammer can. It's just a tool. Needs to be in the right hands.

Question The one thing what worries me is a Flat tire.

...is another way but make sure you have some wood blocks to give it a real solid footing. You absolutely need to have a TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System), especially with a single axle trailer. If you get a flat, you won't be able to feel it. Then you will be driving merrily along while...

Question The one thing what worries me is a Flat tire.

Porterhouse, Thanks. That was my thoughts. I have a 6"x6" block under the tongue when set up. I am working out of town and staying. But I will have tow through Houston, Texas in June and I shudder at the thought of addressing a flat tire on I-10 around Houston. First order of business...

FYI 2017 Chevy Colorado "Tire monitor system" message (TPMS sensor failure)

I haven't found the answer yet but I did come across this interesting information. AAA conducted a series of tests on tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS) in various vehicles to assess their effectiveness in detecting underinflated tires. Here's a summary of the key findings and...

FYI 2017 Chevy Colorado "Tire monitor system" message (TPMS sensor failure)

Courtesy of AI. Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems (TPMS) were first introduced in 1986 in luxury and performance vehicles, but became a legal requirement in 2007:

    Tire Monitoring System

TPMS = tire pressure monitoring system not static tire pressure check. The TPMS purpose is to detect changes in tire pressures and tire temp providing a warning to driver something is not correct and should be addressed. a "Warning" usually associated with safety. I think possibly you just...

    Maxxis Old Tires Being Sold

I saw this topic today since I now have a new Tire Pressure Monitoring System. Although the tire date code is old, you may like to consider that the tires have not been exposed to sunlight until installed. Sunlight is the killer of the tires. Drive your rig, whatever it may be. When you are...

    TPMS Recommendation

Is there a way to monitor OEM in wheel sensors with an aftermarket TPMS reader/screen? The Ford Flex has in wheel TPMS sensors and I'd like not to add extra valve stem sensors in order to read tire air pressure from the RV. I wonder if an EEZ system can be programmed to read the OEM sensor?

Grommet and TPMS issues with inside dually tires

...the inside tire. I've been able to debug it to the valve stem extender loosening up - maybe caused by the vibration due to the tire pressure monitor? I am concerned w/ not having a tire pressure monitor on the inside tire. I'll try some silicon when I get a chance to see if this holds the...

    Nitrogen in tires

Joe Hogan, there are light weight foldable dollies. Generally these lighter dollies are for luggage. I do not take my nitrogen tank with me on trips it is the 90 pound tank. A folding luggage dolly would be perfect for a 20lb tank. I use an old oxygen tank regulator. The regulator set has a...

    TPMS Recommendation

Well, I finally found what I’d been searching for, which was a more encompassing Tire Monitoring System that turned out to be called the Trailer WatchDog system. It monitors individual tire pressures & temperatures, as well as individual hub temperatures. 👍

    Tpms

I would say go with Ford for a clean installation, but does their system show tire temp? Does it have alarms you can set for high or low tire pressure? Is it expandable for a toad? Can you add a repeater if it is expandable. How many tires can it monitor? Thats what you get with an after market...

TST tire pressure monitor system with monitor

Set the parameters, ie. temp, high and low pressure alarms, choose what tire positions you want to monitor, pair the tire position to the transmitter inside the tire. It is located directly across from the valve stem. The instructions that came with the unit should explain pretty well.

Check your tires every travel day!

Yes on the TST system. We have the initial color monitor and the 507 (non flow through) caps. Rebuild once a year with new gaskets and batteries in the caps. Have been running for about 5 years since we got our first RV. Saved us twice last year… First time on 75 S about 5 miles from the FL...
