    Toad tire temps

...tread reversion and the tire will begin to lose strength. Avoiding weakening or damaging your tires is reason enough to use a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) that includes temperature sensors and high temp alerts – but there’s also the pressure side of things. As a tire heats up, its...

    Toad tire temps

Good find! However it Beggs the question. Why only 1 psi? Should have been 4 psi according to your find. Ambient temperature is measured at eye level in the shade. Does that mean the temperature measurement was tire temperature of 100? But still! Only 1 psi with an increase of 21 degrees...

    Dashboard stops working

Driving down the road. 1. Tire pressure monitor fault. Tires are fine 2. Then all gauges and speedometer stop working go to 0. Lasts for awhile then light up as if I had just started it. 3. All dashboard goes black. Still driving fine. Then returns. If I hit top of dashboard it all comes...

    TPMS Recommendation

If I may ride the coat-tail of this thread my TT has just two wheels, yet I’ve not seen anything available for just monitoring two wheels. That said and thinking ‘if’ I’m on my way to a flat sometime, with only two wheels, it's critical I know ASAP. So for some of the more seasoned RV’s here...

    Question TIRE PRESSURE ADVICE?

I may have missed this detail, but are you using a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)? If yes, then you can monitor your tire temperature and pressure while underway. If not, then you are flying blind! Personally, I would never again (I did for a while) drive any motorhome without one...

    Tire monitors

I recommend looking at Tire Safety and TPMS | Tire Pressure Monitors | TechnoRV. They seem to have good pricing and I have used their Tech support, called for Info, a couple of times with great results.

...Diamonds I’ll add that information as well. They did say they could be installed on the M2 since we don’t have the internal tire pressure monitor. Just as an update - the individual listed on the Red Diamond website as the email contact is out until after Christmas so that information...

New to Camping, New to Forum Tire Troubles

Just retired and started camping. Made 5 trips so far, total of 1295 miles. We have a 2020 Highland Ridge Mesa Ridge Limited Travel Trailer (34 ft) pulled behind a 2019 Ram 3500 Big Horn Dually. Had our first blowout on Thursday 08/19/21. I've attached 2 pictures. One is the blown tire, the...

    Tire pressures experience

Dealt with this same problem. Finally sat down last trip to take care of this. Put all tires at recommended pressure. Set high PSI at 20% more and Low at 10% deviation on the Trip tix monitor. Set temps at 160. Have not had a beep since.

    TPMS vs Tire Pressure Gauge

As mentioned above, best to check cold then verify after movement to be sure to sensors readings are current. Sensors will go to "sleep" after a certain period of inactivity, this is to save battery life. 4th paragraph https://www.tirereview.com/tire-pressure-monitoring-system-signal-science/

    Question New TOAD research

The sole reason I switched was that you can see all the pressures and temps all at the same time. I monitor temps more than I do pressure when going down the road. I believe a tire that getting ready to blow with increase temps as compared to the rest of the tires and I can see that in a...

    Question New TOAD research

I haven't had a problem with my Class A but both of my could have been bad blowouts were caught early since I monitor tire temps on my 5er. I caught them early by watching temps and how they relate to other tires both times the temp didn't reach the alarm level. Both times I had the beginning...

    Question Unsolvable Leak.

Easy way to tell if it is a leak in the water system is to use an air compressor. Turn the water off (city water), make sure the pump is off, then drain whatever you can. Use the compressor to put air into the water system and use a pressure guage to monitor the pressure. It should holdpressure...

New (pre-owned) Kountry Star owners need help

My thought on the red blinking box was tire pressure monitor range extender as well. The box in the closet is definitely the KIB panel. Same place they put it in our Superstar. On the KIB system there is an update for the software that fixes an issue where the switches wouldn’t work...

    Tire Monitoring System

Check your tires every travel day!

    Tire pressure monitors

It depends on the type you buy. If the transmitters are actually in the tire, which is most dependable like the ones on your regular driver, you have to break down and remount each tire. That will require a professional. If the transmitters are on the valve stems, you just screw them on...

    TPS System Failure Am Dream

...I haven’t been doing this since installing an aftermarket system as it would require me to remove the sensors every time (I should have selected flow-through sensors). Recent discussions on tires and tire failures have convinced me to go back to a more hands-on approach to tire pressure...
