    It's what I like about rvforums.com...crickets.

    electric water heater

Sounds like you have the AquaHot option. If so, it not only heats your water, but it heats your house as well. We have a '26 RW, and we do have propane on board to power the generator.

TIFFIN 38BB Nightmare - What to do?

Agree completely. Sarcasm notwithstanding, excessive commas can be annoying. Judicious usage is always the best course of action. /S A R C

TIFFIN 38BB Nightmare - What to do?

Yeah, sorry, my bad. I forgot that proper spelling and literacy are so outdated. Who needs it anymore, when all we really need to do is grunt and squeal, and context will take care of it?

TIFFIN 38BB Nightmare - What to do?

"Tiffin".... and, "their" Words MEAN things.

TIFFIN 38BB Nightmare - What to do?

Have to agree with that sentiment. Having owned 2 Class A RVs, earlier, a new '94 Beaver Patriot, and recently, a 2012 Tiffin Allegro Bus - in the aggregate, all the stuff I had to deal with that failed ruined the enjoyment we got, overall. Just downgraded to a new Tiffin Class C, mostly...

    Stabilizer jack fails to retract

WD40 is not a lubricant. "WD" is for "water displacement".

    Tiffin Service any year Motorhomes

Wow! I didn't get any such email, but, if that's true, it's GREAT news! I was under the impression that our 2012 Bus was not elegible for any factory service. I hope this information is correct.

2009 Allegro Bus Slide out solenoid location??

No responses, so I'll make one, belatedly. We own a 2012 bus, so maybe not identical. But on ours, the slides on the passenger side are hydraulic, and the ones on the driver side are electric. That may give you a starting point.

    Panel lights

Without a better description of the problem, this seems unproductive, IMO. OP refers to "lights that work "my task lights, gas hot water, electric hot water", which is about as ambiguous as it gets. "Lights" alone don't usually work anything. Is the problem that switches aren't working...

    New to Tiffin

Old thread, so I'm aware no one might even see this, but I'll chime in anyway. Congrats on the coach, Google tells me it's a Red, which I have no experience with, but I hope you're enjoying it. One suggestion here was to get a steering stabilizer installed. My comment is that although...

    Coax cabling for tv’s

I'm aware this is an old topic, and possibly resolved now. But I'll post what I know anyway. Our 2012 Allegro Bus has separate HDMI systems for the OEM Home Entertainment system and the distribution of any satellite system installed. Servicing those 2 sources are 2 HDMI boxes in the basement...

Year and model of vehicle would be helpful.

Question Is extended idle really bad for a Cummins diesel? Fact or myth?

Of course. Forums are fine if the question has to do with others' opinions or preferences. For factual info on operation and/or maintenance, I rely on the OEM or their designated representatives.

Question Is extended idle really bad for a Cummins diesel? Fact or myth?

Agree. Our 2012 Tiffin has the Cummins ISL 450hp in it, and extended idling definitely asks for issues. While at the Tiffin factory service center, we had modifications to the tag axle suspension air pressure work done, which required long periods of engine idling to keep the system aired...
