    Question Extended Warranty

We certainly have gotten our money's worth and then some on our purchase of an extended 5 year warranty. We have a class A and it was worth every penny. So many things that have gone wrong and each item was covered. The last item that failed was our macerator in our 1/2 bath. It was over...

    HWH FWS Issue

Unless I get pleasantly surprised tomorrow when presented with the bill, it’s all on my dimes, quarters, Lincolns, and Franklins. They have said nothing to me to make me believe otherwise. I’m a little put out that a 2.5 yr old component would fail so catastrophically, but HWH appears to be...

    RV Newbies

...pre-owned would be more affordable than new. It might be worth it to go that route. One disadvantage would be no warranty on the unit except for the engine & drive train(?). Do you recommend purchasing an extended warranty in that case? Have not looked into it, but thinking it might be pricey.

Should you purchase a extended warranty?

The only one I can think of is for the Freightliner Chassis. Hope I'm not making a mistake by not getting it.....

Should you purchase a extended warranty?

Extended Warranty is insurance on what ever you are buying. Some times you need insurance and most times we don’t. I have bought some warranties over the years and most of the time the repairs made during that time was less than the cost of the coverage. Sometimes we need insurance most times we...

So new, I don’t even own a trailer yet!

I joined because I have questions about purchasing a travel trailer, which is imminent. Pros / cons to new / used, purchase extended warranty or not, look for a dealer with most locations throughout country? Etc.

Looking for warranty recommendations for RV and Tire/Wheel

When we had our Newmar we did purchase a Cornerstone extended service contract. My thinking was there was just so many things that could go wrong on a 43' all electric DP and I wanted close to full coverage after the 1 year manufacturer warranty expired. Never used the ESP. Newmar covered a...

    Blown propane pressure valve

...Last year during a 5 hR drive with temps in he low 100, we blew the pressure relief valve on the underbelly propane tank. Our extended warranty paid for the repair and replacement of the blown valve. Today , while returning from a 4.5 hR trip, with temps of 103, the same thing has happened...

    Stove glass exploded

...pieces went into the bathroom and some all the way to front door. Luckily I was not hurt, just stunned. Of course when I told the extended warranty company, Compass about it: they said I dropped something on it. That was crazy and the photos show differently. When I pressed the issue, they...

    First motorhome advice needed

...said that, as a previous poster pointed out, every coach is going to have some kind of problem. I strongly advise you to get a good extended warranty repair policy to cover everything in the coach. I did on both coaches I have owned, and have used the extended warranty to get things...

Should you purchase a extended warranty?

I shop around before buying the extended factory warranty. I've done this on my new ram trucks. My dealer offered me the warranty for 3900.00. I shopped via internet and could buy the exact factory warranty for 1900.00 On closing the deal I showed the difference in the price and they agreed...

    Question Extended Warranty

We bought an extended warranty for the 2014 Ventana LE because we were not the original owners (though the coach only had 3,500 miles on it when we bought it). Newmar does not transfer the one-year coach warranty to a subsequent owner, though both Cummins and Freightliner did. That was the...

Question Do you do your OASIS service EVERY year?

Might not be the case when it comes to an extended warranty. On our previous coach the radiator sprung a leak after the mfg warranty had expired. This was a known problem but the extended warranty company would not cover the repair unless I could prove that I had serviced the radiator according...

2021 Jayco Eagle 317rlok fifth wheel

Like new condition. Kept under shed since new. Transferable extended warranty that runs through 1/2028. I also have a current history report I can send upon request. This fifth wheel has it all. Digital console that can be accessed with phone app. Residential refrigerator, king bed, 3 tV’s...

    Extended warranties, who buys these?

If you look at the economics of these plans the actual amount going to the company offering the plan is maybe 10-20% of the premiums. The rest is commission and operating costs. In order for the Company to make any money, they can’t payout much $$. Typical salesman/ dealer cut is generally north...

Question Protection package for new camper

...And the cost is usually pretty high with lots of fine print making them a lot less useful than you thought when you bought it. I'd pass on most of the extended warranties, unless you're buying a Class A with tons of electronics and a $100k drive train. THEN I'd buy the extended warranty for...

Buying used Class A— seeking advice.

Idea of older coaches having bugs worked out, depreciated and things is got its points. Yes maybe out of warranty but you can get extended warranty. I think your research has provided what manufacturer have a good reputation and would stick with that. May end up being 5 years old instead of...

Question Do you do your OASIS service EVERY year?

Sure. Understood. I guess the question would be what actual item is. For example, you will see an oil change suggested for 6 months, yet not a single (honest) shop said that was necessary until a year at the soonest. I realize it’s a big gamble if you don’t do the research first.

    Buying a used RV

Hi Teresa. I'm not familiar with that particular unit, but I can say that getting an inspection is probably one of the best things you can do. And welcome to the forum!
