There was a time that I would “tinker” with air pressure sweating every half pound fluctuation.
After a number of years I just sort out average weight, determine calculated air pressure. And 5 psi for margin and leave it alone.
During a trip I’ll monitor the TPMS for pressure and temperature...
A week or so ago I got a "Tire monitor system" message in my 2017 Chevrolet Colorado and the left front TPMS no longer shows a reading. I bought a tool to reprogram the tires, cheap and worth a try, but as expected it didn't work as the TPMS is dead. Yesterday I took it in to my local...
I had a 38' 2018 Tiffin Phaeton on which I installed an STS TPMS (no repeater). It worked great. I traded the Phaeton in for a 2024 40IP Bus. The Bus has its own TPMS so I'm just using the sensor "buttons" just on my toad. Sitting stationary (i.e. parked) the STS reads the toad tirepressure...
...for tire inflation called for 35 pounds. My camper has air ride, so I was able to air up his truck before he left.
I have tirepressuremonitor on my bus and tow vehicle. Tirepressuremonitors will give you peace of mind. Do not leave your campground without checking air pressure, manually...
Well, if you don't know how to properly use a power washer, yes, it can damage lots of things. Just like a hammer can. It's just a tool. Needs to be in the right hands.
A post below reminded me
I’m interested in a TPMs system
like most things in my life it’s complex. I have six trailers
two will see cross country use. I’m not a big fan of things that screw on to a valve stem but I have not found an add on system that has an internal sensor.
how are these...
We have the new Tire Minder system and to set the low and high pressure it uses 20% above and 15% below the preferred cold pressure setting. We set our rear tires to 95 PSI which gives us a high-pressure warning of 114 PSI and low pressure warning 89 PSI. Going a short 50-mile trip to get the...
I chose the TST Truck TPMS before I took delivery of my 2017 Newmar Ventana. At that time it was the black LCD display which I really liked. I bought the repeater and mounted in the half bath for easy access to the 12V fuse panel to tap into for power. Works great with the toad in that location...
Wondering if there is a way to reduce dash clutter. I can use CarPlay for my maps and music. I have a monitor for my tirepressure and I’m thinking about adding camera(s). I really don’t like things on the dash so I was thinking there must be a way to view what I want on just one small monitor...
Is there a way to monitor OEM in wheel sensors with an aftermarket TPMS reader/screen?
The Ford Flex has in wheel TPMS sensors and I'd like not to add extra valve stem sensors in order to read tire air pressure from the RV. I wonder if an EEZ system can be programmed to read the OEM sensor?
Joe Hogan, there are light weight foldable dollies. Generally these lighter dollies are for luggage. I do not take my nitrogen tank with me on trips it is the 90 pound tank. A folding luggage dolly would be perfect for a 20lb tank. I use an old oxygen tank regulator. The regulator set has a...
I saw this topic today since I now have a new TirePressureMonitoring System. Although the tire date code is old, you may like to consider that the tires have not been exposed to sunlight until installed. Sunlight is the killer of the tires. Drive your rig, whatever it may be. When you are...
...Diamonds I’ll add that information as well. They did say they could be installed on the M2 since we don’t have the internal tirepressuremonitor.
Just as an update - the individual listed on the Red Diamond website as the email contact is out until after Christmas so that information...
Yes on the TST system. We have the initial color monitor and the 507 (non flow through) caps. Rebuild once a year with new gaskets and batteries in the caps.
Have been running for about 5 years since we got our first RV.
Saved us twice last year…
First time on 75 S about 5 miles from the FL...
...the inside tire. I've been able to debug it to the valve stem extender loosening up - maybe caused by the vibration due to the tirepressuremonitor?
I am concerned w/ not having a tirepressuremonitor on the inside tire.
I'll try some silicon when I get a chance to see if this holds the...
I would say go with Ford for a clean installation, but does their system show tire temp? Does it have alarms you can set for high or low tirepressure? Is it expandable for a toad? Can you add a repeater if it is expandable. How many tires can it monitor?
Thats what you get with an after market...
Set the parameters, ie. temp, high and low pressure alarms, choose what tire positions you want to monitor, pair the tire position to the transmitter inside the tire. It is located directly across from the valve stem. The instructions that came with the unit should explain pretty well.
