...I also recommend CoachNet. Additionally, I like to take the yearly trek to Newmar for service on the house and Spartan for the Chassis.
Having said that, if Tyron Bands or an extendedwarranty give you peace of mind then do it. There is no wrong answer. Welcome to RVF and the Newmar...
ExtendedWarranty is insurance on what ever you are buying. Some times you need insurance and most times we don’t. I have bought some warranties over the years and most of the time the repairs made during that time was less than the cost of the coverage. Sometimes we need insurance most times we...
Don't by the extendedwarranty from the dealer.
I bought a Good Sam extendedwarranty directly from Good Sam. The dealer wanted around $400 more for the same warranty.
Just my experience.
...thing is look at cap cost. Some policies have max lifetime and individual repair pay outs. In reality you should do what makes you comfortable and gives you peace of mind. You can't make a bad decision either way you providing you buy a quality extendedwarranty if you decied to go that way.
If you look at the economics of these plans the actual amount going to the company offering the plan is maybe 10-20% of the premiums. The rest is commission and operating costs. In order for the Company to make any money, they can’t payout much $$.
Typical salesman/ dealer cut is generally north...
What specific model in the Thor line are you looking?
Note that many of the Thor class 'C' motorhomes are not suitable for full time living. The interior materials are just not of a robust quality to stand up to living in full time. For example, most of the Thor class 'C' motorhomes on their...
This!!! The absolute last place I would want an extendedwarranty from is CW. Sorry.
If you feel you need an extendedwarranty, do your homework and buy a good one.

We certainly have gotten our money's worth and then some on our purchase of an extended 5 year warranty. We have a class A and it was worth every penny. So many things that have gone wrong and each item was covered. The last item that failed was our macerator in our 1/2 bath. It was over...
Hey now. I had a 200% increase in interest last year, well, one person emailed me about extending my vehicle warranty so I took that as an interested party. I was excited!
Something to look at as you register all the products in the coach for their individual warranties…
While doing ours I added 5 years to both the washer and dryer for $90 each. The refrigerator and convection oven I can get a continuous warranty for about $15 a month for both.
A lot of the...
I ended up buying an extendedwarranty form Good Sam. I generally do not buy warranties ever but after considering the complexity of these modern diesel pushers, I decided to buy a seven year bumper to bumper plan with a 1000 deducible. It runs me $89.00 a month. With the issues I have heard...
Good evening.
I will apologize for the length of this post before I even start writing it. There is simply no short concise way to explain what NIRVC is trying to share with the public.
Sharing our Defects Per Unit (DPU) with the public on our website is really the first of three reports we...
X2. However, I did purchase the Freightliner extendedwarranty about a year into ownership. That was initiated solely by me, not the dealer or Freightliner.
We picked up the extended warranties on the appliances with our new coach - a/c, washer, dryer, refrigerator, etc. would not have in the house but being harder to get at it made sense to get those.
May extend the drive train before the new runs out but probably not the rest of the house.
My...
Hi Teresa. I'm not familiar with that particular unit, but I can say that getting an inspection is probably one of the best things you can do.
