Was nice to hear what he had to say overall.
Bonus that our backs were in the group of people they showed and our Superstar made her you tube debut - even if just briefly 😊
Our old class c Forester we named Jenny and the toad was little Forest.
The new one is Babs (big ass b&$ch Superstar). Haven’t named the new Jeep Cherokee yet.
Just look at and think of names and one will seem to fit.
I had issues with them reading incorrect on our Superstar.
Called Newmar and they put me in touch with the manufacturer to do a calibration.
There are a couple different ones, pressure type which you just set the empty and, ultrasonic which you set the empty and full.
Getting to the screen...
Was interesting to see the TST display while we were at Spartan getting the run flats installed on our Superstar.
I talked to a couple techs about it and they said they were all pushing to get rid of the internal and just install the TST as they build the chassis.
Nice to hear they may have...
Hi, all:
I've been lurking for a little while, now, and thanks largely to the expertise and opinions all of you, Mrs. Av8r and I have decided to order a new Superstar 4061. No idea yet as to when we might actually have it, but give us a wave if you see us out there one of these days!
On our Superstar the battery disconnect does get the KIB panel as well.
I’d check the fuse panels as we have a fuse for the KIB switches as well just in case the disconnect does not get it.
...temp in the low 50s the electric elements will keep up when running the furnace.
Like the furnace heat more than the heat pumps so did some trials. AC1 and 2 only did work fine without running the burner.
This is in a Superstar so your mileage may vary based on interior area to be heated…
Going after a market segment that wants a Super C but can’t, or don’t want to, go up to the Superstar purchase price.
This should work well for Newmar overall, I believe, as that market segment has to pick another manufacturer without this on the market.
A lot of the competition has Aqua Hot...
Exactly why the Red Diamonds are going on our Superstar in June.
Even though the Super Cs “should” be more controllable with a front tire blowout, I’d rather have the run flats to assist.
You can now get the Superstar on the M2 112 chassis with 450 HP and same floor plans just one foot longer.
This will be a game changer for some in not having to go all the way to the Supreme Air for the additional power.
They also removed the HWH system and used Equalizer jacks and the steps...
We have low point drains in the wet bay and a fresh water drain on the passenger side mid bay. That one comes directly off the tank to drain and is faster than the low points.
May be worth a look to see but we do have a Superstar so may not have the same setup.
Not related to the topic , did you have a class A prior to your Superstar? If so what are the major differences you have noticed. I have always been intrigued with them
...went from a 32 foot class c with the v10 getting about 8 mpg to a 41 foot super c with the 360 Cummins diesel and we get between 8 and 9 mpg.
I’ll let the class A owners weigh in on handling since our Superstar drives like it is on rails. Much easier to drive overall than the 32 foot class...
