If it were me I would try to get a 90 warranty on it for nothing from the dealer, then depending on the miles and/or maintenance records probably wouldn't buy an extended service plan.
Good luck with all that. Definitely beyond what I would tackle - I’m impressed. Are you out of warranty or did you just give up on the “experts”? Take some pics…
...pre-owned would be more affordable than new. It might be worth it to go that route. One disadvantage would be no warranty on the unit except for the engine & drive train(?). Do you recommend purchasing an extendedwarranty in that case? Have not looked into it, but thinking it might be pricey.
...a REAL money maker for the Finance Manager when he's putting the hard sell on you to buy all that crap. :ROFLMAO:
If you want an extendedwarranty I'd ask the dealer if they offer any AFTERMARKET extended warranties. I know at the Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram dealers that I sell to now, they...
I joined because I have questions about purchasing a travel trailer, which is imminent. Pros / cons to new / used, purchase extendedwarranty or not, look for a dealer with most locations throughout country? Etc.
When we had our Newmar we did purchase a Cornerstone extended service contract. My thinking was there was just so many things that could go wrong on a 43' all electric DP and I wanted close to full coverage after the 1 year manufacturer warranty expired. Never used the ESP. Newmar covered a...
...thing is look at cap cost. Some policies have max lifetime and individual repair pay outs. In reality you should do what makes you comfortable and gives you peace of mind. You can't make a bad decision either way you providing you buy a quality extendedwarranty if you decied to go that way.
I shop around before buying the extended factory warranty. I've done this on my new ram trucks. My dealer offered me the warranty for 3900.00. I shopped via internet and could buy the exact factory warranty for 1900.00 On closing the deal I showed the difference in the price and they agreed...
Think you will find very close to the same wording in all RV literature. The reason is building requirements. Temporary structures don't have the same codes.
...said that, as a previous poster pointed out, every coach is going to have some kind of problem. I strongly advise you to get a good extendedwarranty repair policy to cover everything in the coach. I did on both coaches I have owned, and have used the extendedwarranty to get things...
I have been following your posts about the full wall slide, and I am also becoming more educated than need to. Our coach is at newmar getting a complete retiling, after many tiles cracked with no replacement on the full wall slide. Good luck with the repairs!
No way in this world I would buy the first production year of this thing. Give it about 3-5 years for them to work out the bugs in all this new technology. And BUY THE EXTENDEDWARRANTY!!! It'll probably cost $10k but it'll be worth it!
Look around. Brokers can offer a lot more for a lot less. I am in the process of buying a used rig, and have been researching plans. MANY out there. Good Sam wanted 16k for 5 years through the dealer, I got better coverage for 7 years for 6,100.
We bought an extendedwarranty for the 2014 Ventana LE because we were not the original owners (though the coach only had 3,500 miles on it when we bought it). Newmar does not transfer the one-year coach warranty to a subsequent owner, though both Cummins and Freightliner did. That was the...
Might not be the case when it comes to an extendedwarranty. On our previous coach the radiator sprung a leak after the mfg warranty had expired. This was a known problem but the extendedwarranty company would not cover the repair unless I could prove that I had serviced the radiator according...
...And the cost is usually pretty high with lots of fine print making them a lot less useful than you thought when you bought it. I'd pass on most of the extended warranties, unless you're buying a Class A with tons of electronics and a $100k drive train. THEN I'd buy the extendedwarranty for...
Something to look at as you register all the products in the coach for their individual warranties…
While doing ours I added 5 years to both the washer and dryer for $90 each. The refrigerator and convection oven I can get a continuous warranty for about $15 a month for both.
A lot of the...
You don't say wether your RV is a new 2022 or used. If it is new you should have a 12 month factory warranty that came with it, Or if used possibly the balance of the previous owners warranty. In any case you'll be able to purchase an extended service contract from one of many that are out there...
