Thread 'Just a week back, SD Trip'
One of the most relaxing and enjoyable, least eventful vacation have had. Left 6/9 am, travelled 585 miles to Broken Bow NE, spent the night in our camper on a TS lot WITH Approval, continued on thru Alliance(First Fuel stop) to head N to Custer SD and prearranged campsite at Ft Welikit, EXCELLENT Site. Tree lined, Shaded, stayed cool even as in a Drought conditions period. Did have some light rains but overall fantastic six nights exiting 6/13 for return home. Made tours of Close By...
I picked up one of these as the people that travel a whole bunch seen to have this or the larger version. I spent all day yesterday with AI(its really not that good) learning about file types and converting Gmaps etc. The bottom line was the 795 would not read the files, even when converted and installed into the installed memory. The 64G card I have is a brick it seems, even after getting a long lesson in Fat32 and programs to force the format as my WIn10 won't do more then 32G.....lol. I...
Has anyone installed a 12 volt air conditioner on their truck camper & how has it performed? We live & camp in Missouri & have to have reliable air conditioning LOL
Is one better than the other, or they pretty much the same.
This article Public Wi-Fi: how dangerous is it really? does a pretty good job at explaining public Wi-Fi, like what you'd find at RV parks, libraries, Starbucks, grocery stores etc. Basically, if you ensure your web browser shows it's connected using HTTPS, you're not allowing eavesdroppers to see anything to steal.
Working on a trip to Custer SD from Scottdale AZ. Return from Custer to home we plan to visit friends in Durango. Looking at the map I'd like to run I25 down to 285 around Denver and then over through Pagosa Spring and on to Durango. Looking for an overnight about half way and any advice/opinions on the planned route. I'd like to get through Denver and stay somewhere along 285 but options look sparse. Is there a better route? Lets hear options.... Thanks!!!!!
Thread 'Utah Trip'
We arrived home this past Monday and ended an amazing trip to Utah. We wanted to visit the 5 main NP and Monument Valley. We had a month in Utah and it seemed to not be enough but we visited a lot of places on the way out, while in Utah and the return trip. Sandia Crest was great, the tram was not running due to high winds so a drive up. Wild horses at 4 Coners Monument was a nice treat. Big horn sheep at Colorado National Monument, I assume big horn. I wanted to ride as real as possible...

Thread 'New Rig...'
Probably not much of a big deal to most on here but thought I'd post my first 5th wheel. 2025 Cougar 24RDS. 2022 F250 Tremor So far we are really liking the trailer. Leave soon for a trip from Scottsdale AZ to Custer SD with many stop along the way in Colorado.
So in flushing my system from winter, and just running my bathroom sink, i go to dump the grey and it's empty. This really shocked me. My sink in the bathroom goes to the black tank. The shower and kitchen sink go to grey. Is this normal?
Some of the TTs and motor homes have what looks like aluminum siding on them. Does this make for poor cellphone reception within the RV? If so, to what extent?
Thread 'Brinkley G 3520'
Even though I posted that we were happy with our GD Momentum, we upscaled to a Brinkley yesterday. This rig is a little bit shorter (which is our main desire) but so dang nice inside and out. Storage is incredible, the appointments are high quality and gorgeous, and it is so comfortable. RV Connections in Dothan, AL has a wonderful staff, a great stock of new and used rigs, and treated us with respect. This is the second RV purchased from them and honestly, I hope it’s the last one.
Based upon some discussion here, I purchased silicone roof treatment for my RV roof. A recent knee injury (and old age) stabs at my confidence to be able to get up there and do a good job re-sealing my roof. So my hope is to get some recommendations from the (few) California guys on this forum for shops that you might recommend to do this job for me using the product I've already spent $400+ for. I will be traveling from the Central Coast (of California) to Chico (CA) the first of June...
Filled my fresh water tank and switched on the pump. The pump would run but had low water pressure and acted like there was air in the lines. Also it never seemed to build pressure to shut pump off. I have never had this problem before not sure if it is the pump or a line problem. Thanks
Thread 'Question regarding a Furrion Tankless H2O heater'
I am in the process of descaling the tankless water heater in my Grand Design Imagine. I'm following the Lippert video instructions showing how to properly descale it When I disconnected the plastic coupling of the hot water line from the brass hot water outlet on the heater, I noticed an end piece protruding from the brass outlet that appeared to be some type of rubber-like material that was torn and hanging down, so I pulled it off. I've attached a few photos of it. I attached the...
I just received an email that the pause in standby mode, with the unlimited slow speed data, is now $10/month starting in June. Not going to break the bank, but double in less than a year is a little irritating.
So I did a video on installing a 2000 watt inverter on a 2026 Sunlite 21TH. Limited space for the install but it came out pretty good ! LiTime 2000 Watt Inverter Install
I just read through the pet peeves. And added my own. So now time to flip it. What has been your best surprise at a campground? I have a bunch but let's keep it to a bit less than a novel of epic size. This last week it was a wonderful view at Belfair state park in WA. I was not expecting that to be the case I thought it would be a full park but we got a waterfront spot and the sun on the water was wonderful. Then the last camp out with my Granny as we all got more than a little happy...
Thread 'Zion Campground'
Very close to the park entrance, about 1 mile. Sites are close, too close FHU AT&T is spotty. They offer WiFi, didn’t use, Starlink is amazing. Leaving the big sites at Lake Powell and coming here is tough. We can do it for three nights. The views are amazing. Shuttle stop right outside the park entrance. Take Springdale shuttle to the visitor center and park shuttle to the stops in the canyon. The drive through the park to Mt Carmel is worth it (Hwy 9) I do not recommend coming in on 9...
