A few years ago I removed the equipment from inside the coach and that was nice to get out. I still have the Dish antenna on the roof and I'm concerned it may prevent me from getting into campgrounds, you know, that vintage indicator. Dare I show my 8-track player in the dash :) For those that have removed their SAT dish, any gotchas? What did you do with the several coax cables coming up through the roof?

I use Blackvue dashcam's and learned they don't last forever. I'm on a new set (2-channel) in my TOAD and after leaving Charlotte a few weeks back there was an interesting event on the highway, a landscaping boulder going down the middle lane. I checked my Blackvue dashcam to try to capture the footage to share here and yep, the dashcam died in May. We like to state in state parks. Some initial searching didn't yield very good results for parks with hook ups. Wondering if anyone can recommend something?

My 2017 Newmar Ventana has the built in VAC, whatever it's called (central vac?), but I never really used it as I don't like carrying the bulky hose and parts, however, it may be something worth revisiting. Has anyone spent 1-2 months in St. Petersburg, FL? As I figure out where I want to live when I grow up this is an area I'd like to explore and try out. I'm curious if there are any decent places to stay in the RV for a month or two to get a feel for the community? Any suggestions?

I sold my Newmar last year (I did tear up a little when the wonderful people pulled up to drive it away) and purchased a new 2026 Grech Strada ION AWD Class B Van. Coming from a quality Class A required going to a quality Class B. Research led me to Grech. I'll now be more spontaneous and doing tons on Boondocking. Downsizing this much has been an interesting challenge and while it works for me, it's not for everyone.

Most campgrounds never got Wi-Fi right, some do high speed which is nice, some still think 5 MB/s is sufficient. The campground I'm at now offers great Internet, the problem is I'm at a site that's in an area they didn't do so well with Wi-Fi coverage. I can look left and see antennas, look right and see, and I can typically connect just fine. But it's not ideal. We live in Florida and experience many electrical storms. I have never had any lightning strikes hit me, my house, any of my vehicles, or any other buildings that I own or use (that I know of). During a recent storm in which we had several very close strikes, I wondered if an additional ground rod attached to the RV barn and to the RV chassis would be a good idea. It could be a simple quick connect to the RV. Anyone else consider this?
