    New RVer

There are numerous TPMS units on the market, but I think the most commonly used ones are the TST 507 (Truck Systems Technologies) and the EezTire. Both are reasonably easy to set up and use. And, both include audible warning capability to alert you when tire pressure and/or temperature falls...

Yowza. Go get a TPMS Monitor. A big cause of blowouts is usually under inflation. Sometimes over inflation but more often under. Once your 5er is loaded up the way you plan to travel with it, including tanks, get a four corner weight and then pull up your tire manufacturers tire chart and adjust...

Grommet and TPMS issues with inside dually tires

I also exchanged the flow through sensor for the smaller Cap models. I did have a inner air valve extension fail on an inner rear tire but not sure it had anything to do with the EEZRV sensor. Now Carry spare valve extensions in the tool box. Chasing air pressure through the western states with...

FYI TST Truck 507 Tire Pressure Monitor System (TPMS)

I'm wondering if the TST 507 and the EEZTire TPMS units are actually the same unit under the brand-name wrapper. Our EEZTire monitor very closely resembles that of the TST 507 and the sensors appear identical. I remember looking at both units when we bought ours and having the same thoughts...

    Tire pressure monitors

The most commonly used design simply screws on in the place of the stem cap. They recommend having metal stems vs rubber. But many folks use high speed rubber stems without a hitch. My jeep came with Schrader TPMS sensors and rubber stems. I replaced the rubber stems with their allow stems...

Question When to replace RV tires?

...I take great precaution with my tires from tire pressure being on the plus side of the charts by 10 or so PSI. I use a tire pressure monitor. I keep them covered (which I think is more on the gimmick side as sun damage would take years I believe and combined with non use). I will evaluate at...

    Question RVi Tire Patrol

I use TST and I wish there was a screen that displayed all the tires pressures at the same time. I hate the one at a time and keep looking down and taking my eyes off the road to see the pressures/ temperatures. I say this because I like to monitor for a big difference between tires...

Who wants to learn more about KIB?

...is to get on a J1939 (powertrain) or RV-C (other than powertrain) networks in modern RVs. For example, most newer RVs, the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) is on the RV-C network. So, the CAN pins would allow the KIBNet box to monitor those sensors. The only thing of potential...

    Traveling on Sundays

I agree I need to get a good monitor system on my tires. It’s included on the truck. As far as being physically able I think I need to work on my man muscles. ;-)

Sorry this happen to you and two tires is unreal. Next time buy Maxxis Trailer tires. Check them out. I always check mind manually air pressure. Carry an extra rim on long trips because they are hard to find if damage is done to rim.

    Tire pressure monitors

I'll tell you a story... I was pulling our 30' Keystone OUTBACK Superlite 5th Wheel...and I noticed the vehicle taking a little extra pedal to maintain 65mph... Nothing else. A few minutes later...a very nice lady pulled up along side me. Rolled her passenger side window down...to which I...

New to Camping, New to Forum Tire Troubles

Do not go to an LT tire stick with an ST tire. If anything, go up one load range. If you are already blowing tires, I’d bet you are very close to the max weight of your tires. Trailer companies are nortorious for putting on axles and tires that are barely enough capacity. ST tires have stronger...

    TPS Monitors

Fantastic to hear, thank you again for the help @MapNerd. Nice to know I'm enjoying benefits of entry level DP ownership. I called Pressure Pro and they offered to sell direct with 10 sensors for 10% putting them at about $600 before tax. A TST-507 with color display is $727 at E-trailer. I'm...

    Safety and Comfort Suggestions

Safety - Integrated TPMS across all lines as a standard. Bonus pointif 4 extra sensors included to also monitor a tow vehicle. This is 100% a safety issue. - Include a rubber block for diesel park brakes to block brake release and prevent it from being released by accident when engine is off...
