    I just purchased a new Rockwood 2514F. My wife and i are "off-gridders" and this is our 1st..RV. In researching solar needs, the suggestions are all over the place.     Question Typical Solar setup

    Yes, solar still works as it's a charger. It knows float, bulk etc. at least with the Victron I have. In my case the BMS manages all of the charging sources. You configure your solar charger just like you configure your inverter.
