...same time a battery issue developed with one of the batteries no longer charging from any source. There was also a flashing orange LED on the solar controller. Took to dealer who re-did roof seals and did a battery reset. Dealer also updated FireFly so we could do reset lithium batteries...
My RV came with the so called Expedition Package from the factory. There are connectors on the side and on the roof.
My issue surrounds finding the "other" end of the wire. Where in the heck do they terminate so I can use them. Not in the battery box, not behind the refrigerator where...
I have been thinking about adding a small amount of solar to our Dutch Star. On our recent trip, we met up with friends who also were traveling in their Dutch Star. They had experienced a minor problem that required the coach to be left for repair for a couple of days. They were not able to...
Rotorthead: Just saw this post. We have the same model Roadtrek and are thinking about solar. Did you ever do it? Brand used? PIctures? Please let me know here or Direct Message me. Thanks.
...at some future date pick up 4 more Victron 330ah batteries that I'm prewired for as the price dropped significantly this year.
All is great. Please consider using Solar Energy Systems in Nappanee, IN for your solar, battery, etc. needs. Outstanding service and support!

Does anyone have any insight into the effectiveness of the solar panel on the roof of a 2020 Newmar Baystar 3616. It came standard with a panel on the roof, anyone know what it does and how effective it is. Will it keep the refrigerator running? I keep trying to plug the unit into 110 just to...
...box compartments along with the heart interface inside upon climbing the top of the motorhome to inspect the roof I noticed that there was a solar panel my question is does that solar panel go to a charge controller somewhere like my off-grid cabin? Or does that solar panel go directly to the...
...of anyone with an alternator failure due to LiFePO4 batteries? I'll gladly replace the alternator and then make necessary changes if needed. However, I also have solar so my house batteries can be maintained by solar vs. alternator. But IMHO these alternators are a lot more rugged than we think.
I'm totally confused about what I should do.
Should I buy one 200ah Lithium battery or two 100ah Lithium batteries.
My fridge is 12volt only. The solar panel is 165watt and the solar charger controller is an
Furrion MPPT 25A. Also are these difficult to install ?
Thanks
Assuming a rig is prepped for solar, is it cheaper/better to buy a rig with a solar package installed already, or to buy one without it (which seems to be cheaper normally) and buy an aftermarket/manufacturer package and install afterwards? If the latter, what are some good solar systems/brands...
...battery life. How can I tell how much battery life is left when I’m not plugged into shore power? And can someone walk me through how the solar works? It seems like it’s a very passive system. What do I need to do to ensure the solar is charging the lithium batteries (ex is there a specific...
...condition outside and inside with only 22K original miles, my guess is she must have been garaged or covered, but anyhow, I noticed this small solar panel on top of the front AC and so I figure it's for battery charge up-keep. I live in California's High Desert which means tons of sun all the...
I'm wondering if there is a true solar charger for an rv battery that charges by the sun and doesn't have to be plugged into the pickup cigarette portal.
Solar won't pay for itself. When I stayed at Casa Grande for two winters where we pay for electricity I tried using solar to offset costs. It's not worth it. In the end the electricity is not that expensive.
